Decking materials such as pine and fir tend to rot quickly and are not used.
All deck framing is done with pressure-treated hemlock.
Deck foundations are generally a 2’x2’x6” footing and a 6” or 8” sonotube column. “Do it yourself” decking blocks are not used unless requested by the customer.
